BRIGHTON & HOVE CRICKET CLUB

Code of Conduct / set of rules for Young People

In meeting the criteria of ClubMark and maintaining a Welfare Policy the Brighton & Hove Cricket Club (the CLUB) has decided to issue a Code of Conduct for all junior members. The CLUB is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of its junior members. The CLUB believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents/carers or guardians associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.

The CLUB also has a Child Protection Policy that relates to this Code of Conduct and our principles that underpin this are:-

  •  The child’s welfare is paramount;
  •  All children, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin; religious belief or  sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse;
  •  All children have the right to be safe and treated with dignity and respect.

Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Bob Sansom Chairman of the CLUB.

Any breach of the Code may lead to the player being warned as to his/her future conduct or in more serious cases being suspended or barred from participation in the CLUB’s activities.
