Crickethon

Thank you to all who came on the 5th May to the annual crickethon fundraiser at the ground. We had 15 teams, of a mixture of colts, parents and even the odd senior player, which all bowled at stumps scattered around the ground. For two hours some fine young athletes in teams of three, charged around the course for two hours on a beautiful day. Enticed by the promised custom fitted Newbury bats for the top three teams, everyone bowled excellently in the heat of the day. The top three sides all scored over ninety stump hits, an excellent effort on a less then flat outfield. Congratulations to all that took part.
