| The first winner of a Golden Nugget is Yass
Bahemou for his fabulous innings of 98 for the 3rd XI v Broadwater on
the Nevill; a fine innings, by all accounts from a talented young cricketer. Runners Up - Tim Jarvis 61 for 1st XI Eswar Kalidasan 42* for 1st XI Craig Lees 2 for 12 for 2nd XI Abhi Khilare 79* & 2 for 27 for 3rd XI |

| The first winner of a Chicken Nugget is Yass
Bahemou! Being run out on 98 is bad enough but off a no-ball? Yass was
batting wonderfully well & looked set for a century. Unfortunately
he mis-hit a high full toss to square leg & thinking he was out began to
walk off. However the square leg umpire had called no ball, one fielder
shouted "run him out" and, in the confusion, Yass began to run.
Unfortunately he didn't make his ground and had to continue his long walk back to the
pavilion.
As you can only be run out if attempting a run Yass would have been fine if he had not begun to run! Another valuable lesson in life's rich tapestry! |
