WELCOME TO THE HOME OF GIRLS CRICKET IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE

As the Premier Cricket Club in the city we are committed to offering opportunities to all the family to come and play cricket locally. As part of this commitment we are working hard to grow our fledgling girls colts section. Participation amongst girls is growing and it will need clubs like Brighton and Hove to take up the batten if such a growth can be sustainable in the medium term.

Simon Partridge and his team work throughout the year to give our girls all the support they need to grow and flourish as cricketers. The club currently has an under 11 and under 13 team and next year we hope to add an Under 15 team to the list. All the squads benefit from high quality coaching and we benefit from strong links to the phenomenally successful Sussex Women's set up. Four of our girls play for Sussex, two under 11 and two under 13 and we hope that by the end of this season that number will grow to 6 or even 7.

The girls section offers opportunities to new players as well as those who have some experience. We enter every competition possible for our age groups: Hard ball, softball, Lords Taverner's tournaments and the T20 cup. All our girls play the game with a smile on their face and that's what makes it all worthwhile!
